What is the pelvic floor?
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that attach to the pelvic bone to support the pelvic organs, the contents of the abdominal cavity, allows for the retention and excretion of bowel and bladder, and aids in sexual intercourse and the delivery of our future generations.
What is Pelvic Floor Dysfunction?
Pelvic floor dysfunction is when you get the feeling that something is just not working properly down there, which can be caused by numerous factors including; muscle weakness, tightness, improper coordination, endurance, nerve pressure, trigger points, stress and post-surgical scarring.

What can Little Antz Physical Therapy do for you?
At Little Antz, when a patient is experiencing issues with bladder or bowel incontinence, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, or pain with intercourse, a pelvic floor physical therapist can assess the pelvic floor muscles, as well give a comprehensive assessment that will screen for any other orthopedic issues that can contribute to pelvic pain.
